The Mountaineer’s stainless steel crampon teeth won’t let you slip on those sketchy slops.  On ascents the full rotation binding allows the crampons to penetrate more deeply, it also allows the tail to drop back which causes the snow to slide off as you lift your foot.  Yep, a lot of thought and painstaking steps went into these, so that a lot more painless steps could come out.
