 RED EPIC 5K
If the ridiculous specs on the Red One Camera impressed you, then the 5K Epic will mushroom cloud your brain like Mount Vesuvius.  The Epic, due out in early 2009 is a step above it’s predecessor, (the Red One) which is already the top of the camcorder food chain.  Like the original, the Epic features a fully upgradalbe sensor, body, boards and mount and it’s compatible with most of the Red One accessories.  Before I give you the specs, click on the chart for a better look at why hi-def sucks and Jim Jannard is the man.

If you don’t want to wait for 2009, you can pick up the Red One now, because all Red One camera bodies are redeemable for a full $17,500 credit towards the EPIC when it’s released.  How crazy is that?
Now I don’t mean to blow your circuits, but you might what to check out the rest of the 2009 line: The Scarlet and the REDRAY.

Don’t plan on putting your name on the waiting list, RED isn’t taking reservations yet.
