Why does everything marked for the future have to be ostentatious and bubble like? The projections for the Seoul Commune 2026 buildings look as though they were constructed by giant honey bee’s as shelter for their larvae. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a proponent for novel design, but is that grass growing on the sides of the buildings; how does that work?
Korean society continues to grow rapidly in both technological and socio-cultural terms, so, the Seoul Commune 2026 team has investigated the viability of an alternative and sustainable community structure in the overpopulated metropolises of the not too distant future. The imagined community is integrated within the developments of the digital and social age; which apparently suggests that humans will soon wish to live like insects.

Gateway building for new capital city of Ras al-Khaimah
A ridiculously over excessive architectural design and it’s not for Dubai?  Oh, don’t you worry, this was designed for one of those emirates. As a whole, the United Arab Emirates have been reinventing themselves on a global scale, with Dubai taking the lead.  As the world takes notice, the northern emirate Ras al-Khaimah wants a piece of the action.  His highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi has a master plan to build a brand new capital city for the United Arab Emirates in the middle of his desert kingdom. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have the oil money of his sister emirate, but non-the-less he has commissioned world-renowned architects to invent a city from the sand up.
