I wish companies would stop making Bohemian sized AC power plugs that hog up all the space on the power strip. Why can’t they all use those coil transformers you find in the middle of laptop cords. Most brands are wising up, but there’s always going to be that dumb ass company that hasn’t clued in yet. That’s where the rotating surge protector swoops in to save the day. The image above is merely a design by Cyber Demon, but I like the set-up. The sockets rotate 180 degrees to accommodate any combination of plugs, chargers, and adapters. The dials on the front allow you to select an icon that represents what you’ve plugged in; no more jiggling or un-knotting cables just to unhook the correct plug. If you can’t wait for this design to be a reality, check out some of the other options on the market, such as the Belkin wall version, the CTA strip, or the Powersquid.
