The unit has both a restart button and a reverse button, just incase you do get a little overzealous. We tested out DVD’s, CD’s, Staples, and 18 sheets of paper and it worked flawlessly, cutting everything up into confetti sized bits. The unit is on wheels which is nice when you want to quickly access that power strip in the back or the compartment on top. The wide feeder mouth narrows as it closes in on the shredding teeth so that you can quickly feed paper and not your fingers. The bin is super easy to take out, empty, and put back in.
