Not even a cannon shoots like a canon; it’s practically dogma.
If you’re looking for a camera you can take anywhere*, check out the new Canon PowerShot D10. This 12.1- Megapixel point-and-shoot digital wonder features a 3x optically stabilized lens, DIGIC 4 processor, and 2.5-inch LCD, but the real benefits come from it’s ruggedness. This little guy is freeze proof to 14°F, heatproof to 104°F, shockproof up to 4 feet, and waterproof down to 33 feet. What a great travel and adventure camera for snowboarding, hiking, climbing or snorkeling.
*anywhere with the exceptions of heaven and hell; you’re not allowed any personal possessions.

If you enjoy vomiting and explosive diarrhea, by all means don’t use the SteriPen Traveler on your next adventure.
The Traveler is half the size of the SteriPEN Classic with the same great attributes. The convenient pocket sized gadget purifies water by way of an ultraviolet light. The UV kills 99.9 percent of protozoa while simultaneously turning you into a super hero upon consumption of the radioactive H2O*.
The SteriPen has been proven to protect against common microbes such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia as well as pathogens that cause Hepatitis and Legionnaires disease. This is the perfect travel companion to “at risk” water countries or long camping trips.
Also look for the SteriPen Adventurer with the Solar Charging Case. This item is not recommended for individuals seeking to contract Cholera, Botulism, or sound travel habits.
*The UV light doesn’t actually alter the water aside from protecting you against various microbes, pathogens and germs, i.e. you will not gain super powers.

[Get It $250]
The Voltaic Backpack is a rough-grade glimpse into the not-so-distant future when accessories harness and store energy, and a weekend hike can start without the worry of having a fully charged cell phone.
The Voltaic line converts light energy to talk time and ipod life via a series of solar panels located on the back face of the bag. The pack comes equipped with 11 adaptors for any sort of electronic gadget you might be rolling with, a battery pack that stores harnessed energy for use when the suns gone down, and convenient pockets for your laptop, phone, ipod, etc.
Despite the old school JanSport style, this is a rouged sac that I would recommend to anyone in need of a daypack with 1,850 cubic inches of storage space. The padded mesh back cuts down on back sweat by providing more airflow while the mesh straps provide ergonomic comfort.
Best of all, the shell of this bag is made from recycled soda bottles, very cool.

If you like putting on wet gloves and boots then you should buy the DryGuy for a normal person, because you’re weird and the DryGuy is awesome.
I love when a product works the way it’s supposed to work. I dowsed a ski boot, sock, glove and hat then slapped them all on the DryGuy. The ski boot actually dried quickly, in about an hours time as did the hat and glove. The tube sock took a bit longer because I had to reposition the lower region that had been scrunched up at the base.
The unit gently dries with your choice of warmed or un-warmed forced air.
It’s nice to just throw your wet boots or gloves on the machine and leave it be, no holding a hair dryer while it over heats and blows a circuit. No more leaving wet boots out until you’re forced to put them on still cold and wet. Another bonus of the DryGuy is that the aeration helps eliminate unpleasant odor. This is a must have item for any dedicated skier, snowboarder, or winter wonderland adventurer.

Seriously, most avalanche training focuses on digging a person out, but true rescue only happens when a victim has received
medical attention. The crew at
Brooks-Range Mountaineering knows that self-rescue is often the only rescue in remote settings, so they’ve made the
Ultralite Rescue Sled small enough to easily stow in a backpack. Only 23 ounces and packed to the
size of your lunch bag, the Ultralite Rescue Sled transforms a pair of skis and poles into a stable and weatherproof rescue sled. Optional assembly with the
Sharktooth Shovel makes the
ultimate ski rescue package.

Are you addicted to ultra-lightweight camping gear? Don’t worry, your friends won’t send you to
rehab…but they will be jealous when you pull the
Ultralite Guide Tarp from
Brooks-Range Mountaineering from your backpack.
Experienced campers know that when bug season is over, the bulky, screened tent becomes an obsolete anvil in your backpack. At a mere 11 ounces, the durable waterproof 8’x10’
Ultralite Guide Tarp sleeps up to 3 people, and can be positioned in a variety of ways to block the wind and rain, as well as pitching the roof to let campfire smoke out; you can’t dry your socks next to a campfire inside a tent! So add the
Brooks Range Ultralite
Guide Tarp, Ultralite
Mini Guide Tarp, or Ultralite
Solo Tarp to your camping gear collection and go super light and fast…or bring some
wine, cheese and
fillet mignon with the extra weight you saved.

The Dyna-Flex made by
Dyna-Flex International, is a small gyro used to strengthen your hands and arms. You simply spin the wheel inside the plastic casing and rotate the internal gyro. The force generated through angular momentum is held steady by the muscles of your arm, forearm, wrist, or fingers depending on how you hold and maneuver the device.
If you’re worried that the Dyna-Flex is a gimmick, don’t be. It’s not. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better exercise for your arms. If you rock climb, this is a must have. The Dyna-Flex is also beneficial for rehabilitation. Take a look at the video for starting instructions, tips, and assorted exercises.

[Get It $140]
What time is it?
We all know that, but what else can your watch do?
The Tech 4O TraiLeader packs an impressive set of features into a sleek design. Along with the basics of time, date, various alarms, stopwatch and countdown, the Tech 4O TraiLeader has a thermometer, altimeter, barometer, compass, and it even measures your speed, distance, pace and calories.
I like to use the “time freeze” feature to pause the space-time continuum and pick peoples pockets; haven’t you always wished you could do that? -maybe not pick pockets, but when you’re running late or need answers for your exam.
Even though the Tech 4O TraiLeader can’t really freeze time, it can track laps, log vertical, sound altitude alarms, and even forecast weather changes, so at least you’ll never have a reason for being late ever again.
