*Walking distance may seem longer when walking like an Egyptian

If you’re afraid of heights, you may not want to look over the balconies that line the hallways leading to the pyramid rooms. Since all the rooms need a window, the inside center of the hotel is open with hallways circling the outside of each guest entrance, from the 160 room capacity base to the 18 room panicle, the layers of progressively shorter hallways outline the impressive display of architecture.
In addition to the standard rooms with inlaid Egyptian hieroglyphics, there are suites and Jacuzzi suites at every corner of the hotel. The Jacuzzi rooms are more spacious with separate areas for eating and sleeping and comfortable sized bathrooms. The angled walls remind you that you are in fact in a tetrahedral structure.

Like almost every hotel in Vegas, the fitness center carries a $10 per day charge (just like the Internet use) Don’t you know they want to keep you on the casino floor; there’s no slot machines in the weight room.

For no other reason than the inclinator (39-degree sideways moving elevator to accommodate the sloping incline of the structure) you need to check out the Luxor Hotel.

The Peninsula exudes elegance at the entrance and only expands those conjectures once you’re through the door. The grand piano located in the sitting lounge is played nightly and adds a fragrance of class that can only be achieved with the right combination of scene, setting, and music.

With 36 suites and 16 private villas each nestled within their own lush tropical gardens, the rooms provide a more private and personal setting than most hotels can offer or even accomplish. To highlight the experience, each villa and suite is equipped with state-of-the-art electronic controls that allow the guests to manage their environment without leaving their seats. The bedding and other furniture are stylish and comfortable while the bathroom is spacious, well stocked and elegant; although the water pressure could afford to be more powerful.

The roof top pool, private cabanas, and garden oasis all focus on seclusion and relaxation topped with innovative spa treatments and inspiring views. The Peninsula Spa may be the perfect way to relax after utilizing the high-tech fitness center which features personal training services, exercise equipment (with built-in televisions), free bottled water, iced tea, protein bars, personal earphones, newspapers, and more.

The food service is top notch, from The Belvedere restaurant with modern American cuisine to the more casual alfresco dining at The Roof Garden. You may also enjoy afternoon tea in the living room or experience the live entertainment at the hotel’s Club Bar which modernizes the club experience with a distinction of sophistication.

Given all the features and amenities of this hotel along with the surrounding location, a quick conversation with the concierge can prove to make your memorable experience even more exceptional.

This may not be the most suitable setting for children but couples and business people will be hard pressed to find better. Be prepaid to pay for your experience and all the extras, such as valet which offers the hotels only parking option.

The Historic charm is confined to the aesthetic individuality of the structure built during a time when the triangular intersection of Beacon Street and Brookline Avenue could actually etch the dimensions of the brick and mortar to come. Unfortunately other trends of the period such as steep stairwells, small quarters, and uncomfortable beds have outlived their rightful place in history.
The hotel certainly lends itself to the distinct neighborhoods and historic flavor of Boston; however the level of hospitality is acceptable at best while the demeanor of the staff reveals workers rather than friendly hosts.

The suites consist of two bedrooms and a bathroom while the single rooms consist of what you may mistake as a bed in a closet. If you’re claustrophobic you might want to consider using a public washroom. There’s enough space for one adult but you’ll have to hold your toiletries because the stand alone sinks don’t provide any counter space.
Each room has a small fridge and television equipped with standard cable. There are common kitchen areas on each floor which lend to an atmosphere of a hostel rather than a hotel. If you’re a summer visitor you’ll want to run the window unit AC, otherwise the place becomes quite stuffy.
The rooms are kept up but the overall appearance and cleanliness are reminiscent of a basement adorned with leftovers from a yard sale. From the fading walls and frequently patched plaster it’s painfully obvious that the entire building is in need of renovation.

The hotel doesn’t have its own parking; they rent spaces from an adjacent parking garage. You aren’t guaranteed a space in the garage especially when the Red Sox have a game. There is on street parking but obviously this is first come first serve.

If you’re a Red Sox fan or just interested in seeing Fenway Park, look both ways, cross the road and you’re there. The Green line T is right around the corner and can get you to most of the attractions Boston has to offer.

The bottom line is that you don’t want to book a room for a romantic getaway, but it’s certainly fine if you’re a sox fan, poor college student, or history buff; it was after all the site of the first network radio broadcast in 1929.

Be prepared to be honored like royalty as soon as you walk through the door, as the staff is trained to honor its guests as superiors; you should also be prepared to tip like royalty.
With beautiful gardens, crystal chandeliers, European paintings, and fresh flowers throughout, the hotel does it’s best to live up to its name. Unfortunately, if you’re used to the lavishness of the Four Seasons label you may be slightly disappointed as the furniture and fixtures are in need of renovation as is the building when held to the reflection of the aristocratic elite. If you have no expectations and price is not an option, then you may find yourself exceedingly comfortable, especially with the in-house Spa providing various therapies and massages.

The rooms and bathing areas are very spacious and the bedding is comfortable. The arrangement of the hotel minimizes the noise from the street and surroundings. Wilshire Blvd is within a few blocks and allows for convenient access to Beverly Hills. If you’re not up for the walk you may decide to use the house car. If you’re visiting for business, the turn-down service is a nice way to end a long day.

The outdoor garden area is an impressive location for any event; combined with the distinction of service and vast array of business services including translation services, secretarial services, audio visual equipment, and others the Four Seasons LA radiates excellence and will execute any experience with the perfect balance eloquence and style.
