This music playing, texting, Bluetooth, voice control, touch screen, cell phone, watch uses 3G Video Telephony (VT) service with GSM Quadband Network capabilities. This means it broadcasts and receives video images while the GSM means that it will work with T-Mobil or AT&T, but not Sprint or Verizon (which utilize CDMA). Of course this is irrelevant considering LG has no plans to release the watch phone in the US. Oh well, I guess I’ll have to wait a little longer.

This phone is actually a follow-up to a prototype that LG introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) back in 2008, though this one will actually be released; at least in Europe.

The LG Watch Phone is 0.55 inch (13.9mm) thick, with a touch screen that measures 1.43 inches (3.63cm) diagonally. The casting is metal and the surface is tempered glass. The strap is available in both leather and carbon fiber.

The touch phone watch is small, stylish, and most importantly quite usable. The video phone is achieved via a small built-in camera at the upper right corner as well as the 7.2 Mbps 3G HSDPA compatibility which enables high-speed data transmission. The voice recognition features can be used with or without the included stereo Bluetooth headset. Text to speech (TTS) reads text messages and other information out loud and the music player sounds surprisingly good through the built-in speakers (though I still suggest using the stereo Bluetooth).
The charging pins are on the underside of the watch while the 3 buttons for Talk, Clear and End are found on the side.

Though it will be available in a range of colors, from black and silver to blue, red and even pink, it won’t be available in the US or Australia (I don’t think I could go back to T9 texting anyway). It’d also be nice to see more than 70MB of storage, which is around where the phones at right now.

With this straight forward and easy to use phone from Kyocera, you’ll always understand the Lingo.

The phone was created for Cricket Communication users. Yes young grasshopper, Cricket is a cell phone service provider within the United States.
The Lingo has a decent thickness at about 0.79 inches, but not too overbearing considering it folds open for a full keyboard text station complete with a second screen.
The phone itself is comfortable to use, easy to hear, and compact enough to not be a burden. I would recommend this phone to younger individuals that spend most of their day texting each other answers for their exams.

The Lingo is built for the texting fiend without all the unnecessary gizmo’s and doodad’s, although it does feature a 1.3 megapixel camera and bluetooth.

The clamshell Lingo PDA phone measures 3.94 x 1.97 x 0.79-inches and weighs 3.5 ounces. The battery lasts about 3.25 hours (talktime) and 150 hours (standby). It also sports a high-end ergonomic design, full QWERTY keyboard, an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera, voice recognition, dual-color displays, Bluetooth connectivity, and build-in speaker.
A productivity tools are provided, including a scheduler, calculator, alarm clock, stopwatch, tip calculator, countdown timer, and voice memos.
The phone supports Cricket’s Mobile Web and Cricket’s Games & Apps services. The former allows users to browse news, entertainment, and sports; chat; and personalize their cell phones with ringtones and graphics; while the latter lets users download and play various Java games.
