If wood is the first thing you like to see in the morning, then you’re in luck!
Designed by Kouji Iwasaki, the Wooden LED Clock from Suck UK, appears to be a normal block of wood, until you plug it in. With a thin layer of real maple wood veneer the LED glows from the inside, creating the illusion that the time is actually hovering on the surface of the wood.
What a great clock for the nature enthusiast.

The
Perpetual Calendar designed by
Gideon Dagan for the
Museum of Modern Art has been around for a while now, but we decided to feature it for two reason’s: Number one, the name is a bit confusing as the calendar does not change date’s by itself, you must actually move the magnetic pieces every day and month, Second, because it’s still a pretty cool looking calendar.
With a magnetic ball that slides along the horizontal day board and another magnetic ball at the end of a lease to indicate the month, this extremely simple calendar design is both interesting to use and look at. Made of injection-molded ABS plastic and magnets, it can be wall-mounted or used on a desktop in two positions. It comes in black and red, black and silver, or blue and yellow.

MoMA didn’t re-invented the clock here, they’re just really fond of circles; Plato would have loved it. The less is more simplicity of this battery powered time piece screams neat-O. So don’t be a square, give this little guy a shot.
The Round LED Clock has an easy to read blue dotted LED display, an alarm with snooze feature, and an AC adapter. The metal components are encased in a sleek black plastic which also houses three AA batteries.

If you fantasize about being Jack Bauer and want to defuse a bomb every 24 hours, then you need the Danger Bomb Alarm Clock.
Wake up every morning to the sound of an explosion, the only way to make it stop is by following the color code that randomly resets each day. No more smacking the snooze button from dreamland, your brain will have to actually take in information and perform a function; a great way to force your lazy ass out of bed. If you’re middle eastern we recommend not using this device as your travel alarm unless you enjoy missing flights in exchange for hostile interrogations and cavity searches.
*It may be pertinent to note that our color blind research team found this clock particularly troublesome as did our quadriplegic test subjects.

This wall clock from Invotis really grinds my gears.
Designed by Wil Van Den Bos, this 56cm (~22 inch) time keeping devise is a basic yet intriguing concept, move the dial while the hand remains stationary.
If the wall size doesn’t get your gears turning, you might want to check out the other models; and if those don’t intrigue you, you may want to check your head to make sure it’s still ticking.
If you have the time, check it out, and if you don’t have the time, you obviously need this in your life and living room.
* Requires two D size batteries
